Fishies
-This poem was written about a special moment my daughter and I shared shortly after she began talking. One of her favorite bath-time toys were some colorgful plastic fish, which we used to play with in the tub during her nightly bath. One toy in particular was a small whale, which had a hole in the top (the whale's blow port), which would allow the toy to fill with water. I would intentionally fill the toy with water, then squirt Katie with it. She and I got the biggiest laugh during those times. The title of the poem was Katie's first attempt to say the word "fish" in the plural sense. Hence a new word was born: Fishies. Katelyn's first word was "Dada", which was me of course, which later involued into "Daddy". Her second word was "bird". One morning before leaving for work, I was holding her in my arms, while we watched the red birds outside the kitchen window on the feeder. Katie pointed with her precious little index finger, and she spoke the word--bird! Here mother and I were elated. Her third word was ball, which was her's and my favorite toy at the time (remember the blue ball--Katie?).

-To Angela K. Correro with love and blessings.

Windy
-Bruce (Windy) Jennings. Bruce and I meet in Tutwiler, MS. Bruce is a musican (drummer), and he is few years older than I. I was only a 13 when we meet, but he sort took me under his wing as a brother (the one I never had), and allow me to experience the many wonders of life along his side. I love you, man. Take care of you!
Butch
- L. Bennett. Butch and I meet in Greenwood, MS, when I was around 11 years old. He use to work on the crew with my grandfather and I, when we would work summers with him, installing chain-link fences in and around the Mississippi Delta. Despite our diffiences in rearing and background, Butch always remained a true and honest friend and protector, for the Delta could be a dangerous place, if you got into the wrong crowd. Thanks for always being my friend.
Through An Insighful Man's Eye
-Tim S. Tim and I met at NDC in Atlanta, where we both worked in a Tech Support department. Tim was one of the few employees at NDC, whom I came to know on a deeper level than just a cubical neighbor. As a result of our friendship, I overcame my fear of sharing my poetry with him, and this poem struck such a deep cord with him, that I was amazed. However, it wasn't until his death, that I fully understood, what this poem truly meant to him and why. May you rest in peace, my friend.
Our Pa-mama
-Myrtle Yaun. Pa-mama was my grandmother-in-law. She and I became instant friends upon our first meeting (not that she ever meet a stranger--anyway); however, her love of the art of poetry and the written word, and her support of my writing endearors will always be a part of my life. You will always be loved by me, and now the world will know you, too.
Blue Rain
-Raymond S. I wish that I could say, that Ramie and I were friends, but that would be like saying day and night are brother and sisters. Ramie did have friends (I'm sure), but he mostly allowed some of us to simply share in his world on occasion, and if you ever were lucky enough to do so, you never forgot them. Ramie was ahead of his time--for like they say--the good die young. God's speed, Ramie. We miss you and love you!
The Silence of Noise
-Kitty H. Rest in peace, my dear.

Eyes of Autumn
-Kenneth B. You may not remember, but this is the first poem, which I ever penned, while living in Atlanta. The world will never know a kinder person. I still miss you and think of you often. May you rest in heavenly peace. We never got to say, goodbye. So, here it is...
Waterfall
- G. E. This one is for you.
This concludes my dedications for this compliation of poetry:
The Tiniest Seed: Poetry for Relection Vol. I.
Thank you for taking the time and interest to review and read these dedications, for the people in my life, who these poems are dedicated to, are more than deserving than a few simple words from a poet such as I.
