I never really told you, about the books you had written and the one about me. Michael, I really felt a release within myself, when I read it because the way it was written, was not to slander my name but on the otherhand explaining alot about the way things really were and it also let me forgive myself. The most touching part about it for me was even after all the years, you could still see a cry inside of me that needed to be released and it just was so beautifully expressed. All the feelings you put in it was like you could read my heart. I could never expressed it like you did. I thank you and love you as well for just that. You are truly a gifted and kind person, and I can't tell you thank you enough for being here for me as you have been now, and for being there when I wasn't even aware of it.

Just read "The Tiniest Seed Series" A Soulful Collection of Short Stories from the Heart and it is straight from the heart. I have never been as touched reading something as I was reading these short stories. What a work of art straight from the heart and soul. It reaches deep and makes you stop after reading them and search your own soul. I cannot wait to read the Poems for Reflection Volume 1.

Just read The Tiniest Seed Series and I am speechless. I have never been so touched by reading something as I have by reading these Short Stories. What a work of art. After reading I just sat and thought and soul searched. I have not done that after reading a book in years. You are wasting your talent if you do not continue to write. Your fan, LJM

Michael David Correro has written three wonderful books (to date): The Tiniest Seed, Poems for Reflection Volume 1; The Tiniest Seed Series, A Soulful Collection of Short Stories from the Heart; and Johnny Tel: Unmasked. The poems and short stories in these books take the reader on a journey of emotions - happy, sad, anger, lost, inspired, hopeful. The reader will connect with many of the poems and short stories through their own experiences or knowing someone who has lived similar experiences. These are not books that you will read once and put on a shelf, you will read them again and again.

Correro has written some highly personal poems, many of which are about real people, many of whom live in the Greenwood and Delta, where he has lived much of his life. The premise of the book is that everyone he meets leaves an impression on him, and vice versa--a tiny seed of an impression.
The book's themes include love, and friendship, politics, and philosopy and inspiration. In an interview, Correro said the poems, which were written between 1987 and 2004, are a reflection of his life and the people who have touched it. He also said those about whom he has written will recongnize themselves.
Some of the poems tell a story--"In a Pile", for instance. This poem tells of Correro's discovery of a beating that was taking place as he walked to a swimming hole in 1972. He happened upon two "town bullies" who were beating up a boy, until one of the bullies spotted the author:
Other pieces delve into feelings. In "Fear", for example, he poses all those universally agonizing questions everyone asks himself or herself upon meeting the someone who may--or may not--be the one.
Several of the poems are quite adult in nature, often with subtle symbolism or nuance, but nevertheless for grown-ups to decipher and appreciate.
Correro's slim soft cover volume of poetry is only 60 pages, but many of the verses will touch hearts, minds and souls of local readers.
He has plans for publishing other books, including a series of children books, a second volume of poetry and a murder mystery that takes place in Greenwood and moves from the 1960's until the present day--something else to look forward to from Correro. In the meantime, his website will keep people updated on his projects: www.thetiniestseed.com
MichaelCorrero has written a wonderful book of heartfelt and soulful poems. Only 60 pages long, you can read the entire book in one sitting, but believe me when I say, you'll pick this book up again and again to reread the poetry of Mr. Correro.
Once I pickup up the Tiniest Seed I couldn't put it down. The poems Mr. Correro selected for this book were breath taking. Thank you for such a wonderful book. I recommend it to all behold.

Michael, when I got your book today, after arriving home from work, I went and sat in my favorite chair. I read it from cover to cover, while crying in sadness, laughing out-loud, and weeping with joy. It was then I reallized, that I hadn't even taken off my shoes or work clothes after arriving home, and this is something I have never done before. Then I picked-up the phone and I began calling my friends and reading your poems to them over the phone. You must come visit me, and sign your book! I love you, Sissy

Michael D. Correro's collection of poems will feed your soul. Michael writes about faith, love, God, life, and virtue. His poetry is Soul food not only for the eyes, but for the heart. In my eyes, Michael, is viewed as an immensely talented poet. The Tiniest Seed is a book of Reflections combined with poetry to describe all the beautiful things poetry is. This book will take you on a journey into the heart and soul of Michael D. Correro.

I give your book a five star score. I particularly liked Memories of a Shade, Waterfall, and Psalms of Hope, whereas Johnney Tel, Peep Show and A Patterened Room were particularly interesting to me as well, for I could feel the spirtual realm of your deep soulful collection." December 2005

I'm not much of a fan of poetry, nor have I read much, but what I have read, it didn't appeal to me; however, Michael's poetry is different! It tells a story, and I found myself wanting to meet, as well as, to get to know the people, who he has written about. I really liked it, and I enjoyed reading it, too.
